Reading is an essential part of language learning. We believe that children should be actively encouraged to read, and taught to appreciate books. Unfortunately, Hong Kong students are often reluctant to pick up a book at all. Our unique reading programme teaches and develops reading skills, and turns reluctant non-readers into readers. Once established on the reading programme students’ progress is often rapid and noticeable after only a short period.

To facilitate our reading programme we have an extensive lending library and students are encouraged to join “Read to Excel”, our reading club. Read to Excel was established to foster a love of books and reading amongst our students.
